This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are used on gemarix.com and how you can manage them.
What are cookies
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves to your browser. Cookies let a website remember things between page loads — for example, that you have already accepted a notice, or that you are signed in. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and tracking pixels in emails.
What cookies we use
Gemarix.com is a mostly static website. We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not share cookie data with social networks or ad networks.
Strictly necessary
- Session-level cookies set by the web server during a visit. These keep the website functioning and are deleted when you close the browser tab.
Functional
- Cookies that record whether you have dismissed a notice or banner on the site (where applicable). Lifespan: up to six months.
Analytics
- We do not currently use third-party analytics on gemarix.com. If we add them in the future (for example a self-hosted analytics tool, or a privacy-respecting service such as Plausible or Fathom), this page will be updated and, where required by your local law, a consent prompt will be shown.
Email tracking
- Marketing emails sent by Gemarix may contain a single small tracking pixel that lets us see whether the email was opened, and link wrappers that let us see whether you clicked a link. This is used to measure engagement and to stop sending to people who never open our emails. You can disable image loading in your email client to prevent open tracking, or unsubscribe entirely using the link in every email.
How to manage cookies
Most browsers let you see, accept, refuse, and delete cookies through the settings menu. The exact steps depend on the browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
If you block all cookies, parts of the website may not work as expected.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry consensus on what websites should do in response, but in any case Gemarix does not track you across other sites — there is nothing to opt out of.
Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy as the site evolves. The "Effective" date at the top tells you the current version.
