Blue Dunes Granite is quarried from igneous formations across North India and processed into gangsaw slabs, counter cuts, and precision tiles at our Rajasthan facility. The stone benefits from the geological stability and mineral richness of the North Indian granite belt, which spans formations from Rajasthan through Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Our facility sources directly from known quarry faces, enabling the consistency of block quality and colour matching that large project specifications demand.
Every consignment is graded and inspected before shipment to ensure colour consistency within the accepted natural variation range. Gangsaw slabs measure 280 × 180 cm, providing maximum yield for large-format floor and wall installations. FOB Mundra / Nhava Sheva. Origin and specifications verified by Gemarix.

Blue Dunes Granite is a coarse-grained igneous granite formed through the slow cooling of magma at depth within the Indian craton. Its mineral composition — predominantly potassium feldspar, quartz, plagioclase feldspar, and biotite mica — accounts for both its characteristic colour and its exceptional hardness. The interlocked crystalline structure, formed over geological timescales, produces the dimensional stability and mechanical strength that make this stone suitable for both interior and exterior applications.
Technical properties: density approximately 2.62–2.65 g/cm³, compressive strength exceeding 140 MPa, water absorption below 0.4%, Mohs hardness 6–7. These values confirm frost resistance, scratch resistance, and stability under thermal cycling — appropriate for a wide range of climatic conditions from tropical to northern European. Origin and specifications verified by Gemarix.
Blue Dunes Granite takes its name from the flowing, wave-like grey and blue banding that runs across the slab surface — a visual movement pattern created by alternating layers of blue-grey plagioclase feldspar and quartz-rich bands during crystallisation. The base tone is a cool steel-blue to grey, with the banding introducing light and dark oscillations that give the stone a distinctly dynamic, almost liquid quality.
Colour consistency is reliable within production runs, and variation between blocks falls within normal natural stone tolerances. The stone responds well to multiple finishes — polished surfaces bring out the deepest colour expression and any crystal sparkle, while honed and leathered finishes shift the character toward a more matte, tactile quality. Both reads are commercially relevant depending on the application.
Blue Dunes Granite is well-suited to both interior and exterior applications across residential, commercial, and civic projects. Its hardness, low porosity, and dimensional stability make it appropriate for flooring, wall cladding, countertops, stair treads, exterior paving, and facade cladding. The stone's frost resistance opens northern European and high-altitude markets. Interior uses include kitchen countertops, bathroom vanity tops, and feature walls where the stone's colour is the primary design element.
Gangsaw slabs (280 × 180 cm) are supplied for facades and large floor installations. Cutter slabs (180 × 60 cm) serve monument fabrication, stair and threshold work, and custom tile cutting. Standard tile sizes — 60 × 60 cm, 30 × 60 cm, 60 × 90 cm — are available cut and polished from our Rajasthan facility.
Polished finish best expresses the flow pattern and blue-grey depth; honed is preferred for exterior and floor applications. Brushed finish is available for rustic and heritage applications where a weathered character is intended.
Blue Dunes Granite is supplied in two production formats. Gangsaw slabs are large-format slabs for premium architectural projects requiring continuous surfaces. Cutter slabs are smaller-format slabs suited to monument work, stair treads, and tile production.

Custom tile sizes available: 60×60 cm, 60×90 cm, 90×90 cm. Cut to specification at our Rajasthan facility.
Granite requires minimal maintenance compared to marble. Its low porosity resists staining without sealing in most commercial and exterior applications. For kitchen countertop use, apply a light penetrating impregnating sealer at installation and reseal annually. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid harsh acids or bleach-based products on polished surfaces. For exterior installations, periodic pressure washing is sufficient. Polished surfaces in residential settings retain their gloss well without re-polishing for many years.
