Quarried from our reserves in the Rajsamand district of Rajasthan — one of India's most significant marble-bearing geological zones — Forest Green Marble takes its name from the deep, living greens of the forest canopy. Rajsamand sits at the northern edge of the Aravalli mountain range, where ancient metamorphic activity compressed limestone formations under sustained heat and pressure, producing the dense crystalline marble structure that gives this stone its exceptional workability and finish quality.
The Rajsamand belt has been an active quarrying region for centuries, supplying stone to Rajput palaces, temples, and step-wells across the region long before modern export routes existed. Our team walks these quarry faces to select blocks at source, ensuring that what leaves our facility meets the visual and dimensional standard our export clients expect.

The distinctive forest green coloration is a direct result of chlorite and serpentine mineral infiltration during the metamorphic phase. These minerals replaced portions of the original calcite matrix, creating permanent green pigmentation that cannot fade or wash out — unlike surface-applied finishes on synthetic materials. The flowing amber and gold veining visible across each slab are secondary calcite deposits that formed along natural stress fractures in the parent rock over millions of years.
No two slabs are identical. Color intensity ranges from deep emerald to rich olive-green depending on the quarry face and slab position. Gangsaw slabs cut from the same block will show related but not identical patterns — a characteristic that designers use deliberately, setting adjacent slabs in book-matched pairs or sequential runs to create a continuous, living wall surface.
Forest Green Marble has established itself in luxury architecture as a material for interior statements that need to feel alive rather than sterile. Our gangsaw-cut slabs are specified for hotel lobby flooring and wall cladding, upscale restaurant feature walls, master bathroom floor-to-ceiling installations, executive boardroom accent panels, and reception desk fronts. The depth of colour works equally well against warm timber tones and cool brushed-metal finishes, making it one of the more design-versatile greens in natural stone.
Our cutter-size slabs (180 × 60 cm) are popular for kitchen island tops, bathroom vanity counters, and linear wall panel installations where the narrower format suits the architecture. Custom tile sizes — 60 × 60 cm, 60 × 90 cm, 90 × 90 cm — are cut and finished at our Rajasthan facility to project specification.
Polished finish deepens and intensifies the green while creating a mirror-quality reflective surface — this is the most common specification for Forest Green. Honed finish renders the stone in a soft matte texture that reads more natural and organic, particularly suited for flooring in residential settings where glare control matters. Leathered and Brushed finishes are available for projects requiring a tactile, non-reflective surface, particularly suited for feature walls and outdoor-adjacent installations.
This stone is supplied in two production formats. Gangsaw slabs are large-format slabs for premium architectural projects requiring continuous surfaces. Cutter slabs are smaller-format slabs optimised for residential installations and tile production.

Custom tile sizes available: 60×60 cm, 60×90 cm, 90×90 cm. Cut to specification at our Rajasthan facility.
Marble should be sealed on installation and resealed annually in high-traffic or kitchen environments. Standard pH-neutral stone cleaner is sufficient for daily maintenance. Avoid acidic cleaners — citrus-based or vinegar solutions — which etch the calcite surface over time. For polished floor installations, felt floor pads under furniture prevent surface scratching.
