Ita Gold Marble is quarried in the Jhamarkotra area of Udaipur district, southern Rajasthan — a region known within India's stone industry for its yellow and gold marbles. The Jhamarkotra deposits sit within the Aravalli metamorphic belt, where iron-rich limestone protoliths underwent regional metamorphism to produce the warm-toned marbles distinctive to this corner of Rajasthan.
Our facility sources Ita Gold directly from quarry operators in the Jhamarkotra belt, allowing us to control block selection for colour and pattern consistency. The warm gold colouration varies block to block, and project-matched supply requires hands-on selection at the quarry stage. Gemarix supplies Ita Gold to projects across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East where buyers value its sunlit character for residential and hospitality interiors.

Ita Gold is a fine-grained metamorphic marble with a recrystallised calcite matrix and significant iron oxide content responsible for its warm yellow-gold colouration. The subtle veining seen across slabs is produced by minor concentrations of clay-derived and carbonaceous minerals stretched along metamorphic foliation planes. The interplay of iron oxide distribution and trace mineral content gives Ita Gold its distinctive sunlit character. Origin and specifications verified by Gemarix.
Ita Gold slabs present a warm yellow-gold field with subtle veining in soft brown and amber tones. Some blocks lean richer gold; others present cooler honey-toned character; the variation between blocks gives projects the option to specify warmer or cooler reads of the same material family. The overall character is sunlit, refined, and traditional.
The marble pairs naturally with warm-palette interiors — against teak, walnut, brass, and terracotta it grounds gracefully; against cooler design schemes it adds warmth and visual interest. Polished finishes maximise the gold character and produce a high-reflectivity surface; honed finishes soften the warmth and pull the surface towards a contemporary matte.
Ita Gold Marble is most commonly specified for residential flooring, hotel lobbies, restaurant interiors, traditional design installations, and feature wall applications where a warm, sunlit gold is the design intent. Its medium visual weight allows it to anchor a space as a primary floor material as well as serve as accent for vanity tops, fireplace surrounds, and reception desks.
Gangsaw slabs (280 × 180 cm) suit large flooring and feature cladding installations; cutter slabs (180 × 60 cm) are typical for vanity tops, kitchen surrounds, and stair treads. Custom tile sizes are cut to specification at our Rajasthan facility, with polished, honed, or leathered finishing applied before container despatch.
Polished finish maximises the gold character and produces a high-reflectivity surface — the most frequently specified finish for vertical cladding and feature walls. Honed finish softens the warmth and produces a contemporary matte ideal for residential floor applications. Leathered finish introduces gentle surface texture, suiting feature walls where reflectivity is unwanted. Brushed finish suits heritage and traditional applications.
This stone is supplied in two production formats. Gangsaw slabs are large-format slabs for premium architectural projects requiring continuous surfaces. Cutter slabs are smaller-format slabs optimised for residential installations and tile production.

Custom tile sizes available: 60×60 cm, 60×90 cm, 90×90 cm. Cut to specification at our Rajasthan facility.
Apply a penetrating stone sealer at installation; reseal annually in kitchen and bathroom environments. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner — avoid acidic cleaners, citrus-based products, and abrasive pads, which etch calcite. Blot spills promptly. The gold colouration is intrinsic to the stone's mineralogy and will not fade under normal interior conditions when correctly sealed.
