Mercury White Marble is quarried in Rajsamand district, central Rajasthan, within the Aravalli marble belt. Mercury White takes its name from the distinctive silver-grey movement that flows across its bright white field — patterns that read as fluid and metallic, suggesting the visual quality of mercury moving across a surface.
Gemarix sources Mercury White directly from quarry operators in the Rajsamand belt, allowing block-by-block selection for the silver-grey character that defines the material. Block-by-block variation is part of the stone's character, and consistent project-scale supply requires careful quarry-stage selection. Our direct relationships make this curation possible for export buyers specifying the stone for residential and hospitality projects.

Mercury White is a fine-grained metamorphic marble with a recrystallised calcite matrix carrying minor concentrations of clay-derived and carbonaceous material that produces the silver-grey directional movement seen across slabs. The fluid, metallic-quality patterning is the result of how this material distributed during metamorphism — flowing along strong foliation planes rather than concentrating into discrete veins. Origin and specifications verified by Gemarix.
Mercury White slabs present a bright white field with silver-grey directional movement that flows across the surface in fluid sculptural patterns. Some blocks present subtler silver detail; others carry richer movement that gives slabs sculptural depth. The overall character is bright, fluid, and contemporary — distinct within the Rajsamand white-marble palette for its metallic-quality patterning.
The marble pairs effectively with contemporary design vocabularies. Against brushed steel, blackened metal, and pale oak it provides clean refined contrast; against warmer palettes it grounds gracefully with its quietly metallic character. Polished finishes accentuate the silver-grey movement; honed finishes pull the surface towards a contemporary matte ideal for residential and bathroom floor applications.
Mercury White Marble is most commonly specified for contemporary residential flooring, hotel suite finishes, feature walls, vanity tops, and luxury bathroom installations where the silver-grey character is the design intent. The fluid patterning makes it particularly effective for large vertical cladding installations where the metallic movement extends across the wall.
Gangsaw slabs (280 × 180 cm) suit large flooring and cladding installations where the silver movement can extend without joints. Cutter slabs (180 × 60 cm) are typical for vanity tops and bathroom surrounds. Our Rajasthan facility cuts custom tile sizes and selects book-matched pairs for feature applications where mirrored silver patterning enhances the design intent.
Polished finish accentuates the silver movement and produces a high-reflectivity surface — the most frequently specified finish for vertical cladding and feature walls. Honed finish softens the contrast and produces a contemporary matte ideal for residential and bathroom floor applications. Leathered finish introduces gentle surface texture, suiting feature applications where reflectivity is unwanted. Brushed finish is available for traditional applications.
This stone is supplied in two production formats. Gangsaw slabs are large-format slabs for premium architectural projects requiring continuous surfaces. Cutter slabs are smaller-format slabs optimised for residential installations and tile production.

Custom tile sizes available: 60×60 cm, 60×90 cm, 90×90 cm. Cut to specification at our Rajasthan facility.
Apply a penetrating stone sealer at installation; reseal annually in kitchen and bathroom environments. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and soft cloth — never acidic cleaners or abrasive pads. Blot spills promptly, particularly wine, coffee, oil, and citrus. With correct sealing, Mercury White holds its surface and tone reliably across years of residential and hospitality use.
