Polar White Marble is quarried in Rajsamand district, central Rajasthan, within the Aravalli marble belt. Polar White sits at the cooler, brighter end of the Rajsamand white-marble palette — its crisp character and minimal veining make it the project specification of choice for contemporary minimalist projects where the design intent calls for white as a clean field rather than a patterned surface.
Gemarix sources Polar White directly from quarry operators producing the brightest, cleanest blocks from the Rajsamand belt. This selectivity is essential for the material — much of the Rajsamand belt produces marbles with more visible character, and consistent supply of the cleanest near-uniform white requires hands-on selection at the quarry stage. Our relationships make project-matched supply possible for export specifications.

Polar White is a fine-grained metamorphic marble with a recrystallised calcite matrix and exceptionally low accessory mineral content — among the cleanest mineralogical compositions in the Rajsamand belt. The minimal veining seen across slabs comes from very limited concentrations of clay-derived minerals; in some blocks the field reads as essentially uniform. The tight grain structure gives Polar White excellent dimensional stability for slab applications. Origin and specifications verified by Gemarix.
Polar White slabs present a crisp cool white field with minimal veining — many slabs read as essentially uniform white, with only the subtlest grey suggestion of movement across the surface. The character is clean, contemporary, and architecturally minimal. For projects where white is intended as a clean canvas rather than a patterned material, Polar White is among India's strongest specifications.
The marble pairs naturally with contemporary minimalist design palettes. Against matte black, charcoal, and brushed steel it provides crisp clean contrast; against warmer palettes it reads as cool, refined, and slightly distancing. Polished finishes maximise the brightness and produce an essentially clean reflective surface; honed finishes pull towards a contemporary matte that maintains the crisp white reading.
Polar White Marble is most commonly specified for contemporary minimalist residential flooring, hotel suite finishes, gallery and museum interiors, and luxury bathroom installations where white is the design language rather than a decorative element. Its minimal character makes it well-suited to large unbroken installations where visual coherence across hundreds of square metres is critical.
Gangsaw slabs (280 × 180 cm) suit large-format flooring and full-height cladding where the minimal field can extend across maximum surface area. Cutter slabs (180 × 60 cm) are typical for vanity tops and bathroom surrounds. Our Rajasthan facility cuts custom tile sizes to specification for projects requiring formats outside standard slab dimensions.
Polished finish maximises the crisp white reading and produces a clean reflective surface — the most frequently specified finish for vertical cladding and contemporary feature applications. Honed finish produces a contemporary matte that maintains the cool white character without high reflectivity, suiting residential floors and minimalist bathrooms. Leathered finish is rarely specified for this material — it works against the clean minimal character. Brushed finish similarly suits other applications better.
This stone is supplied in two production formats. Gangsaw slabs are large-format slabs for premium architectural projects requiring continuous surfaces. Cutter slabs are smaller-format slabs optimised for residential installations and tile production.

Custom tile sizes available: 60×60 cm, 60×90 cm, 90×90 cm. Cut to specification at our Rajasthan facility.
Apply a penetrating stone sealer at installation; reseal annually in kitchen and bathroom environments. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and soft cloth — never acidic cleaners or abrasive pads. Blot spills promptly, particularly wine, coffee, oil, and citrus. With correct sealing, Polar White holds its crisp surface reliably across years of demanding residential and hospitality use.
