Rainforest Gold Marble is quarried in the Kesariyaji area of Udaipur district, southern Rajasthan — within the same broader Aravalli geological system that produces Rainforest Brown, but with different mineral content yielding the warm gold-base patterning that distinguishes Rainforest Gold from its brown counterpart. The dendritic patterning is produced by the same geological process: branching mineral growth through limestone fractures over geological timescales.
Gemarix sources Rainforest Gold directly from quarry operators in the Kesariyaji belt, allowing block-by-block selection for pattern character. The dendritic patterning varies significantly between blocks — some present restrained patterning suited to subtle applications, others carry richer character ideal for feature installations. Our direct relationships make project-matched supply possible for export specifications.

Rainforest Gold is a metamorphic marble with significant dendritic mineral content — recrystallised calcite matrix with iron oxide content responsible for the warm gold base, and manganese mineral concentrations that formed branching dendritic patterns through fractures in the protolith. The combination of warm gold field and dark dendritic patterning produces the distinctive autumn-rainforest character that gives the stone its name. Origin and specifications verified by Gemarix.
Rainforest Gold slabs present a warm gold field with dendritic vein patterns in darker gold, brown, and occasional black tones. The patterning is organic and botanical — branching forms that suggest autumn forest canopy. Some blocks present restrained character; others carry richer dendritic detail; book-matched pairs produce powerful mirrored compositions.
The marble pairs powerfully with traditional, heritage, and biophilic design palettes. Against warm timber, leather, and brass it grounds sculpturally as a primary feature; in contemporary settings it adds organic warmth as a deliberate accent. Polished finishes maximise the gold character and dendritic depth; honed finishes soften the contrast for floor applications.
Rainforest Gold Marble is most commonly specified for feature walls, fireplace surrounds, vanity tops, hotel lobbies, restaurant interiors, and book-matched cladding where the warm dendritic patterning becomes the central design element. Its visual weight makes it best deployed as a focal feature.
Gangsaw slabs (280 × 180 cm) are essential for showcasing the dendritic patterning across maximum surface area; cutter slabs (180 × 60 cm) suit vanity tops and smaller features. Book-matched pairs are highly effective and frequently requested — our Rajasthan facility selects adjacent slabs from the same block for projects where mirrored dendrites enhance the visual impact.
Polished finish maximises the warm gold character and dendritic depth — most often specified for feature walls and vanity applications. Honed finish softens the patterning and produces a contemplative matte for floor applications. Leathered finish introduces gentle surface texture that complements the organic patterning. Brushed finish suits heritage applications.
This stone is supplied in two production formats. Gangsaw slabs are large-format slabs for premium architectural projects requiring continuous surfaces. Cutter slabs are smaller-format slabs optimised for residential installations and tile production.

Custom tile sizes available: 60×60 cm, 60×90 cm, 90×90 cm. Cut to specification at our Rajasthan facility.
Apply a penetrating stone sealer at installation; reseal annually in kitchen and bathroom environments. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner — avoid acidic cleaners and abrasive pads. Blot spills promptly, particularly wine, coffee, and oil. The dendritic patterning is intrinsic to the stone's mineralogy and remains stable when correctly sealed.
