Rich, warm, arresting — gold and cherry in the grain.

Origin & Geography

Cherry Gold Marble is sourced from the marble-producing regions of Rajasthan, where the ancient Aravalli mountain system has generated conditions for some of India's most distinctive ornamental stones. The deep amber-gold and warm red colouring of this marble reflect the specific mineral composition of the limestone formations from which it derives — a composition shaped over hundreds of millions of years of geological pressure and heat.

Blocks are selected at quarry face by our sourcing team, with particular attention to colour saturation and consistency of veining character across the block. Cherry Gold's tonal range can vary between quarry faces; our sourcing practice ensures that what we supply to export clients represents the richer, more consistent expression of this stone's natural palette.

Geological Profile

The warm amber-gold ground colour of Cherry Gold Marble is produced by iron oxide minerals — primarily goethite and limonite — distributed through the calcite matrix during and after metamorphism. These iron compounds stain the recrystallised calcite in warm ochre and golden tones from within, producing a colour that is permanent and intrinsic to the stone structure. The cherry-red and deep burgundy veining results from localised concentrations of haematite along natural joint planes, where higher iron density produced the deeper, saturated red that gives this stone its name. Origin and specifications verified by Gemarix.

Color & Character

Cherry Gold is a warm-toned marble with a high degree of visual energy. The amber-gold ground ranges from a pale honey to a richer burnt-gold depending on slab position and quarry zone. Against this, the cherry-red veining runs in bold, irregular patterns — sometimes concentrated in dramatic sweeps across the face of the slab, sometimes distributed in finer networks that produce a more complex, layered reading.

Polished, this stone has a reflective warmth that makes it particularly effective in candlelit or warm artificial lighting — hotel dining rooms, executive offices, and residential living spaces where the goal is richness rather than coolness. It pairs naturally with dark timbers, aged metals, and deep-toned leather and fabric finishes. As a contrasting element against pale stone or white surfaces, Cherry Gold provides strong visual anchoring without appearing aggressive.

Applications

Cherry Gold Marble's warm, distinctive palette makes it a strong choice for feature wall panels, reception desk fronts, and fireplace surrounds in luxury hospitality and high-end residential projects. It is also specified for executive bathroom vanity tops and wall cladding, dining room floors where the richness of the stone complements a formal setting, and retail interiors where the material signals quality without coldness.

Gangsaw slabs (280 × 180 cm) provide the large format needed for statement wall installations and book-matched feature applications. Cutter slabs (180 × 60 cm) are used for countertops, stair treads, and sill applications. Custom tile sizes and thicknesses are available cut and finished at our Rajasthan processing facility, with polished finish being the primary specification for Cherry Gold.

Finish Options

Polished finish is the definitive specification for Cherry Gold — it deepens and saturates both the amber ground and the cherry-red veining, producing a warm, jewel-like reflective surface that represents the stone at its most expressive. Honed finish produces a more restrained, matte reading with slightly cooler tones, suitable for flooring where glare management is important. Leathered finish introduces fine surface texture and a slight reduction in colour intensity — used where a warmer, more tactile character is preferred for wall applications. Brushed finish is available to order for specialist applications.

Care & Maintenance

Seal Cherry Gold Marble on installation using a penetrating impregnating sealer and reseal annually in kitchen, bathroom, and high-traffic environments. Daily cleaning should use a pH-neutral stone cleaner — never acid-based products, which dissolve the calcite surface and strip polished finishes over time. The warm-toned ground of Cherry Gold shows watermarks and residue less than pale stones, but regular damp-mopping followed by drying maintains the polished surface. Felt floor protectors under furniture prevent point-load scratching on polished floor installations.
